Understanding your results and the options available if you need to retake an assessment is an important part of the SQE. This section covers how and when results are released, how assessments are marked, and what steps to take if you think there’s been an error. It also explains the rules on resits and appeals.
You will get your results approximately 5-6 weeks after sitting SQE1, and approximately 14-18 weeks after sitting SQE2. Results dates are published in the assessment dates and booking windows page as they become available.
On results day we will send you an email letting you know when your results are available in your SQE candidate account. Results will only be posted within your SQE candidate account and will not be sent out to you. You will be able to save them as a PDF from your candidate account.
Important: you must pass SQE1 before you can sit SQE2 — unless you have an approved exemption. You’ll also need to receive your results before booking a resit.
