How much does the SQE cost?

You’ll need to pay for each part of the assessment (SQE1 or SQE2) at the time you make your booking. Some candidates may also be eligible for exemptions, which can affect the fees.

For more information about paying for your assessment, visit the payment methods page. You can also find step-by-step guidance on how to book your assessments.

SQE assessment fees

For assessments from September 2025 onwards

  • SQE1: £1,934 (£967 for FLK1 and £967 for FLK2)

You must book and pay for the written and oral assessments together at the time of booking.
