Registering for the SQE

The first thing you need to do is register and activate your SQE account. If you don’t have one yet, you can register now. Once you have activated your account, your SQE candidate number will be shown under the “My SQE Account” tab at the top right hand side of the page in your candidate account when you click on the “My SQE account details” page on the dropdown menu.

Verifying your identity

You must verify your identity with a valid photo ID. You can use your passport, driving licence, or other official government-issued photo ID.

How to register if you’re an apprentice

If you're an apprentice you must create an SQE account, activate it and log in.

Then you’ll need to fill in your profile - this includes verifying your identity and letting us know about any reasonable adjustments you will need when taking the assessments.

You will need to make sure that your employer or training provider has nominated us (Kaplan SQE) as their End Point Assessment organisation.

We will make sure that your account is an apprentice account as soon as your training provider lets us know - you don’t need to do anything to let us know that you are an apprentice. But you should tell your training provider that you have registered.

For training providers and employers – registering an apprentice

If you train an apprentice who plans to take the SQE, you should complete an end point assessment agreement with us by requesting it from enquiries@sqe.sra.org.uk.

After you have completed and returned the contract to us, we will provide you with further information on how you can let us know who your apprentices are so that we can record them as apprentice candidates. You will be asked to provide us with the name and Unique Learner Number of the apprentice. This will ensure that we record them as an apprentice in their SQE account.
