Sep 8, 2026

We have sent an email with a link to access your results via your candidate account. We also have resources to help you understand what is included in your SQE1 results.

Taking the October SQE2

We will also email all candidates that sat the July SQE1 to update you on the next steps if you want to book the October SQE2. Information on this booking window is available on the website. The key points are:

Complete pre-booking steps

If you completed the October SQE2 seat reservation form we sent on 6 July and have passed the July SQE1, you should log in to your candidate account as soon as possible after you receive your results to complete your pre-booking steps. You must complete these for us to be able to reserve your seat for the October SQE2.

Complete your booking

From 8 September up to 5pm on 16 September, we will send requests for payment to your registered SQE email address. On receipt of your email, please log in to your SQE account to see the seat that has been reserved for you. If you wish to accept the seat then you should make payment. You must pay within 48 hours of receiving the email otherwise your seat will be cancelled. This includes candidates with reasonable adjustments. (Note: candidates with reasonable adjustments must currently contact us to make payment). You can reschedule your booking via your candidate account from 10am on 17 September up until 5pm (UK time) on 18 September if you find a seat you feel is more suitable. However you need to first accept the seat if you want to reschedule it.

Your reservation will lapse if you do not accept it

There is no obligation to accept the seat reservation if you do not want to sit the October SQE2. If you do not take any further action or do not make payment by the specified date, your reservation will lapse.

Retaking SQE1

If you completed the seat reservation form but did not pass SQE1, we will release the seat reserved for you. The next sitting of SQE1 is in January and bookings will open on 21 September. As usual, candidates will need to complete the pre-booking steps in order to book. We will publish a dedicated booking information webpage in due course.

Statistical report

We will publish the statistical report for the July SQE1 by the middle of October on the SQE reports page. It will contain the assessment related information such as the pass rates, including statistics that provide some feedback on the SQE1 assessments, consisting of FLK1 and FLK2, and their performance.
