The SQE1 sample questions have been updated following their annual review. Except as set out below, the changes are all minor in nature and involve updates to dates and/or tax years or changes made for clarity.
A change has been made to FLK2 Sample Question 13 due to a change in the rules relating to the requirement to obtain planning permission for a change of use from office to residential use. The question now tests a different change of use where planning permission might be required: from office use to a nightclub (a sui generis use).
We have also completed the Welsh translation of the 50 additional SQE1 sample questions which were released in November 2025. These are now available on the SQE1 Sample Questions page.
