We have published an updated webpage and a short video relating to the candidate results page for SQE2. This is as a result of the introduction of scaled scores for SQE2 which we announced in December.
The majority of the candidate results page will remain unchanged and be very familiar. It provides a breakdown of results by assessment station. This will not change and candidates will continue to see the detailed breakdown of marks from 0-5 for each assessment criteria for each assessment station. Candidates will also continue to see their overall mark expressed as a percentage. In addition to this, candidates will now see their mark expressed as a scaled score out of 500, where the pass mark will always be set at 300.
The website provides an explanation of the updated presentation and scaled scores. The video gives a quick explanation of how candidates can access their results page and shows the updated presentation of results.
This applies for the January 2025 SQE2 and subsequent SQE2 assessments. Scaled scores will therefore be displayed in candidate accounts when results for the January SQE2 are released on 28 May. Results for assessments taken before January will continue to be displayed in the older format and can be accessed by candidates clicking on “View previous results” in their candidate account.
We will also add a further guidance video relating to the marking of SQE2 in the coming weeks.
In light of the introduction of scaled scores, the format of the SQE2 post assessment statistical report will also be updated to present results for the assessment cohort as a whole. The SQE2 statistical report will also be published on 28 May.
