The monitoring and maximising diversity survey has been updated. Please return to the survey to reconfirm your answers and complete the new section at the end.
You must do this to remain eligible for the SQE. You will not be able to book your next assessment until you have updated your answers.
The SQE2 sample questions have been updated with the addition of three new sample questions which include a sample candidate performance in:
The purpose of the sample candidate performances is to provide a realistic setting of real life interviewing and advocacy assessments. Please note, we have removed the previous Probate interviewing/attendance note sample question and replaced it with a sample candidate performance which is more representative of a real life interviewing assessment. We have provided a sample answer for the related attendance note/legal analysis which candidates would prepare following the interview.
The existing SQE2 sample questions have been reviewed as part of our annual review. Each sample answer includes a written discussion of the answer, with guidance on the key legal points and a short analysis of the performance of the sample candidate by reference to the criteria for the assessment. The sample questions and answers have not been changed but the presentation of the materials has been refreshed, where needed.
Welsh versions of the SQE2 sample questions and answer guides will be published in Welsh shortly.
