We have updated the guidance relating to the SQE1 sample questions on our website and the order of the questions, following candidate feedback.
Some candidates have fed back to us the view that the SQE1 sample questions are shorter than the assessment questions. An analysis of the number of views of the sample questions on this website show a significant and consistent reduction in views as the questions progress.
In order to give candidates who are viewing only a limited number of the sample questions an indication as to the difference in length the questions can take, some of the questions have been reordered within each section (FLK1 and FLK2). Some of the longer questions from the sample now appear earlier in the order. The PDF version of the sample questions has also been updated to reflect this.
The below table sets out which questions have been reordered.
The sample questions are designed to illustrate the kind of questions that appear on the FLK1 and FLK2 assessments and therefore assist both education providers and candidates plan SQE training and prepare for the assessment. They follow the same style and have been drafted in accordance with the same process as the questions used in the assessment.
The 90 sample questions do not represent all the material that is covered by the FLK and are not designed to be a replica of the SQE1 assessment itself, or to be a mock assessment.
