We have published updated guidance and a short video relating to the candidate results page for SQE1.
This is as a result of the changes to SQE1 which we announced in September, including the move to scaled scoring.
For any SQE1 assessment taken from January 2024, the candidate results page will now provide a breakdown of results by practice area as follows:
This will enable candidates to clearly see the practice areas they have performed best in and those where they may have not performed as well. By comparing these results against the information provided in the statistical report they will gain deeper insight on their relative performance. For those who may need to resit the assessment, this will assist in identifying areas of focus to better prepare for their next attempt.
The website provides an explanation of the updated presentation including an image of an example of the detailed breakdown by practice area that candidates can access.
The short video gives a quick explanation of how candidates can access their results page and shows the updated presentation of results.
This new, more detailed way of presenting results will apply for the January 2024 SQE1 and subsequent SQE1 assessments. It will therefore be displayed in candidate accounts for those that sat the January SQE1 when results are released on 14 March.
